Rey Fenix responds directly to AEW speculation, and it doesn't sound good

The ongoing turmoil between Rey Fenix and All Elite Wrestling is rumbling on, and shows no sign of slowing down following the latest status update on both Fenix and Penta El Zero M.

The former Tag Team Champions were hotly tipped to be signing with WWE when their existing deals came to an end, and Penta has since officially been removed from the AEW roster. However, Fenix will be staying put for now due to time being added on for injuries, despite there being no plans to use him before he departs.

The logjam has created fresh discussion about the rights (or lack thereof) of talents, but per scoopster Dr. Chris Featherstone, Ph. D, there may also be more to the story;

For his part, Fenix has both acknowledged and endorsed the above remarks, noting in separate replies that;

"Unfortunately, due to contractual issues i cannot speak now, but I will have my time" and "so far the most accurate comment". This follows on from him previously posting that "No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment" without - for now - going into any further detail.

Fenix was last seen on screens on the July 20th edition of AEW Collision, having been with the organisation since its launch in 2019.
