Ric Flair Offered This WCW/WWE Legend A Spot In His Last Match
This WWE Hall Of Famer almost turned Ric Flair's final match into a six-man tag!
Ric Flair offered Diamond Dallas Page a spot in his last match at the tail-end of July.
DDP claims that the 'Nature Boy' called him up and said he'd happily turn a tag with Andrade El Idolo vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal into a six-man. Page, who told this story to Renee Paquette on her 'Sessions' podcast, didn't go into details on exactly who the other man in the equation would be.
He wasn't really up for accepting Ric's offer anyway.
The WWE Hall Of Famer told Renee that he just couldn't "take a chance on hurting [himself]" by stepping back between the ropes one more time. Page "feels so good" these days, and he knows that bumping around like a madman would result in unnecessary injuries.
Flair's friend still can't believe that Ric was able to power through the match himself.
After giving up on trying to sell DDP on a six-man, Flair asked if Page would like to appear on his roast special instead. Diamond, who isn't "a roast guy", said he'd be honoured to take that gig and pay tribute to a legend.
