Ric Flair Says WWE Is 'Holding Back' These 2 Surprising Names
WWE consistently hold these wrestlers back, at least according to Ric Flair.
Ric Flair believes WWE has "held back" both Charlotte Flair and Randy Orton for too long.
The 'Nature Boy' went on a quite stunning rant during his appearance on the 'Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling' podcast. During the interview, Ric claimed that his daughter and Randy are restricted "because [WWE] don't want them to go that far".
Flair also name-dropped Sasha Banks and AJ Styles during his speech - he put both (along with Charlotte and Orton) on a list of "probably 10 great workers between the two companies". Of course, the other company in question would be Tony Khan's AEW.
The legend was giving his thoughts on how being over-scripted by writers has killed the art of the wrestling promo. Then, he went off on one about how Charlotte and Randy are held down by WWE top brass and thus unable to properly fulfil their potential.
It's unclear what Ric expects from WWE here. His daughter is a 14-time Women's Champion (including two reigns on NXT) and has headlined WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Randy is a 14-time World Champ who has won two Royal Rumbles and achieved countless other accolades.
