In some exciting news for long-time wrestling fans, "Ravishing" Rick Rude is finally entering the WWE Hall of Fame. It's also been revealed that Ricky Steamboat will be inducting him.

Rude was one of the biggest names not currently in the Hall. Ever since his good friend Curt Hennig was enshrined in 2007, fans had been wondering when The Ravishing One would be joining him. However, the company doesn't like to put in more than one deceased wrestler at a time these days, so it could have been years before he was chosen. Luckily, the recent rumors of him entering were true.

While he never captured the WWF Heavyweight Title (one of the most popular wrestlers not to), he did hold the Intercontinental Title, as well as the WCW International Heavyweight Championship on three occassions.

With Rude battling the likes of Jake Roberts, The Ultimate Warrior and Sting, he was one of the most visible, and hated wrestlers of his generation. Perhaps most frustrating for all those "sweat hogs" out there, he could back up his big mouth in the ring. He was one of the best workers of his era, but unfortunately remains one of the bigger "what ifs" in wrestling history, as he had to retire in his mid-30s due to a severe back injury.

It's great to see WWE finally induct one of the best heels of all time.
