While the widespread belief is that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Kevin Owens are closing out Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 this weekend, it looks as if nobody has informed Ronda Rousey of this.

Speaking on The Ellen Show, the former Raw Women's Champion stated how she'll be headlining her second 'Mania when she faces Charlotte Flair this Saturday.

"I'm gonna be in the main event for the second time. I was part of the first main event with women, and this is now the third. So, it's becoming almost something that doesn't need to be mentioned anymore, which is the goal."

As alluded to there, Ronda was part of the first women's match to headline the Showcase of the Immortals, with her, Flair and Becky Lynch main eventing WrestleMania 35. Since then, Bianca Belair defeating Sasha Banks to become the SmackDown Women's Title closed out the first night of WrestleMania 37 last year.

Discussing what will main event 'Mania this Saturday, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio suggested that WWE may not have informed the Rowdy One that Austin and Owens will be the final segment of Night 1. Meltzer also added how Vince McMahon, as he does so often, could well be changing his mind on the main event spot on a daily basis. Likewise, Dave mentioned that Rousey was probably promised a WrestleMania main event gig as part of her return to action at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

It remains to be seen just how things will play out on this topic, but by all accounts and purposes it seems that Stone Cold's appearance on The KO Show is currently planned to wrap things up on Saturday. Of course, there is speculation that this talk show appearance from Austin will ultimately lead to some sort of major brawl or possibly even a match against Owens.

The other side of this, mind, is that WWE regularly labels WrestleMania matches as "main events" regardless of whether they close out the show or not - with countless other "main events" having taken place in the middle of the card, as the opening match, or second from the top.
