Having been absent from WWE television for a month prior to this past Friday's SmackDown, Sami Zayn has detailed how he's "not even allowed to talk about" where he's been during this time.

Friday saw Sami return to in-ring action, beating Dominik Mysterio as part of said return, and that was followed by the former Intercontinental Champion later partaking in a post-match interview for WWE's digital platforms.

"It's funny that you now suddenly have time for me. The last four weeks, I haven't been around; you could have reached out to me? But nobody did. I didn't get a text, I didn't get a call. Nobody even thought to ask 'Where is Sami? Where is one of the greatest performers of our time? Where is he these days?' Nobody thought to ask. But now that I'm back, everyone is acting like they care. I'm not even allowed to talk about where I've been, but trust me, in due time, you're going to find out where I was and what I was up to. And trust me, it's going to be juicy."

Of course, this was all very much Sami Zayn delivering these words 'in character', with him also offering to give a "reality check" to Dominik and Rey Mysterio if they need a reminder of how nobody is on Zayn's level.
