Sami Zayn Pitched For Liv Morgan To Join His WWE Heel Stable In 2019
How Liv Morgan almost found an unlikely WWE SmackDown ally in Sami Zayn.
Current WWE Intercontinental Champion and SmackDown star Sami Zayn has revealed that he proposed Liv Morgan join the heel stable he was running with last year, only for the current Riott Squad member to be sent to Raw as part of the 2019 WWE Draft in October.
Zayn tweeted the following after Morgan’s Liv Forever documentary aired on the WWE Network yesterday:-
Liv Forever has been well-received so far, with a number of WWE wrestlers and other notable wrestling figures hitting social media to throw praise its way since the show was uploaded.
Zayn’s stable comprised of himself, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura, and was referred to as The Artist Collective. The trio stopped appearing together when Sami elected to stay at home at the onset of the global health crisis, rather than putting himself at risk by travelling to shows. Zayn then returned in August, looking to reconvene with Cesaro and Nakamura, but was shunned. The Intercontinental Champion has been on his own ever since.
The stable was of particular benefit to Nakamura and Cesaro, who have lost their way since severing storyline ties with Zayn, who is currently 64 days into his second recognised reign as IC champion. Morgan, meanwhile, is teaming with Ruby Riott on Raw, having reunited with her old Riott Squad partner in August this year.
