Samoa Joe Suspended 30 Days For WWE Wellness Policy Violation
So that's why Joe didn't save Kevin Owens on this week's Raw...
Samoa Joe has landed himself a 30-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy, the promotion has confirmed.
Per the official dot com writeup:-
"WWE has suspended Nuufolau Seanoa (Samoa Joe) for 30 days effective Monday, February 24, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy."
This news comes just three weeks after WrestleVotes claimed that more Wellness Policy violations were to be announced in the wake of Andrade's recent 30-day suspension, with Joe mentioned specifically. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp then reported this information as false, with WrestleVotes issuing a full retraction and apology, stating that they'd been misinformed by a source.
Perhaps they weren't so misinformed after all?
Whatever the case, this news breaks following a rough few weeks for Joe, who was recently concussed while wrestling Buddy Murphy and Seth Rollins on Raw before suffering another head injury while filming a WWE commercial last week. Here's hoping better fortunes await him when he returns.
Joe's 30-day suspension renders him unbookable until Thursday 25 March, meaning we might not see him until the 30 March episode of Raw. He's missing a big, big chunk of the road to WrestleMania 36.
