WWE.com is reporting that Seth Rollins - who was assaulted by the debuting Samoa Joe on Monday's Raw - re-injured his knee in the attack. The site posted a video of the two-time WWE Champion leaving the Laredo Energy Arena on crutches.

Needless to say, the source of the news places some doubt on the story's legitimacy - it wouldn't be beyond WWE.com to print a worked article about Rollins suffering an injury in order to get Samoa Joe over. However, since the story has broken, Pro Wrestling Sheet and The Wrestling Observer have confirmed that it is indeed legitimate, and that Rollins will be evaluated later this week to determine how badly he was hurt. The status of his planned WrestleMania bout with Triple H is unknown.

Rollins was WWE Champion for more than seven months in 2015, but his reign came to a premature end when he suffered a serious knee injury during a match with Kane in Ireland. The WWE Championship was vacated, and Rollins was forced to spend more than half a year on shelf, missing WrestleMania 32 in the the process. He returned in May to challenge Roman Reigns for the title, but has had trouble finding the momentum many had anticipated for him.
