Seth Rollins Mystery Match Lined Up For WWE WrestleMania 38?
Seth Rollins is on track to face SOMEBODY at WWE WrestleMania 38, but who?
Though WWE is yet to announce anything yet, Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Seth Rollins is being lined up for a match with an unknown opponent.
What will happen here is a total mystery. Meltzer notes Rollins' opponent will be one of (if not the) biggest surprises left for the 2/3 April event.
Rollins is currently tied-up in a tag team storyline with Kevin Owens, as the duo prepare to challenge Alpha Academy for the Raw Tag Team Titles on this Monday's show. That will be a Triple Threat match also featuring RK-Bro, though there's currently no word on the bout's status following Randy Orton's injury last week, when he banged his shoulder up while he and Riddle worked the Street Profits.
This ongoing story leaves Rollins with an obvious singles opponent, particularly now that big names like Edge and AJ Styles are tied-up in matches and the World Title program is long-determined. Should a split eventually occur, KO may have made sense in this spot, though Owens has the small matter of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's comeback match.
