Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton for the WWE Title has been confirmed for Extreme Rules on April 26. In the co-main event, John Cena will defend the US Title against Rusev. The matches were announced during Tuesday's Smackdown taping, with Kane making the WWE Title match in a backstage segment. Extreme Rules takes place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The Chicago crowd is traditionally one of the loudest and most volatile nights in WWE's touring schedule, which should make the Extreme Rules matches even more exciting. There's no word what gimmicks will be taking place on the card, but presumably there'll be some sort of stipulation to the main events. Orton and Rollins could produce magic with an array of weapons and hardcore spots. The decision to go with Orton and Rollins as the main event is a good one. The feud has been hot and the match at WrestleMania was really good. As for Cena vs Rusev, this will be their third consecutive match on pay per view. The matches have been good and the feud has heat, but it does feel a little stale at this point. Two WrestleMania rematches may feel like a little too much for some WWE fans, but it was the right direction for WWE to head in. Extreme Rules will hope to continue WWE's current surge of momentum following on from one of the best Mania shows in history.
