Shane McMahon pocketed a whopping $2 million for his work as a WWE performer in 2019.

This was revealed in yesterday's Notice of Annual Meeting of Stockholders and Proxy Statement, with thanks to Wrestlenomics for highlighting the passage relating to Shane's compensation:-

"Shane B. McMahon is the sone of Vincent McMahon, brother of Stephanie McMahon and brother-in-law of Paul Levesque. In 2019, Shane McMahon was a performer for the Company for which he received performance fees and royalties aggregating approximately $2,082,011."

Here comes the money, indeed. A massive wad of cash for a guy who worked just 15 bouts throughout the year, but that's what happens when you're 'The Best in the World.'

It must be noted that Shane wasn't (and still isn't) employed as a WWE executive in 2019 and was only paid for his onscreen role, having given up his office spot years ago.

Further information highlighted by Wrestlenomics includes the median WWE corporate employee compensation ($113,752), the severance paid to George Barrios and Michelle Wilson, and Stephanie McMahon effectively replaced Kevin Dunn as one of WWE's top five corporate officers.

Was Shane with the bumper paycheque? You can be the judge of that...
