Six-Man Tag Match Added To NXT In Your House
Turf war between Santos Escobar and Tony D'Angelo's groups finally explodes.
Months of an ongoing turf war in NXT is about to reach its conclusion Saturday at In Your House, when Legado Del Fantasma will take on Tony D'Angelo and his two hired goons in a six-man tag match.
A meeting on Santos Escobar's yacht on Tuesday's NXT 2.0 revealed the stipulation for the multi-man match: the losing team must join the winning team's "family" and take orders from that group's leader. The two leaders had squared off a few weeks ago, with Escobar retrieving a pair of brass knuckles and using them to knock D'Angelo out.
The rivalry between Legado and the Don of NXT (plus Stacks and Two Dimes) has included kidnappings, parking lot attacks, dead fish on the windshield, and nearly every mob movie cliché you can imagine, short of a horse's head in Santos' bed or an unfortunate toll plaza incident.

The skits have been overproduced mini-dramas, shot with multiple camera angles and utilizing background music. It's unclear what "turf" the two groups are grappling over, as neither clan has held gold since Escobar lost the NXT Cruiserweight Championship more than a year ago.
Really, the stip for the match should have been that if Tony D's team loses, Santos gets to rename Stacks & Two Dimes to Squeaks & Mumbles. Or better yet, Deuce & Domino.
