Sonya Deville Makes WWE Return On SmackDown
Deville has been off WWE TV since August.
Having been off WWE TV since August’s SummerSlam PPV, last night saw Sonya Deville make her WWE return.
Seen walking through the backstage area, Deville left her fellow superstars in a state of shock on this week’s offering for WWE’s blue brand – leading to Corey Graves noting how Sonya had been reinstated to the active SmackDown roster.
Deville later took to Twitter to simply proclaim “Daddy’s Home”.
As alluded to, the last time we saw Sonya Deville was in a losing effort against Mandy Rose at 2020’s SummerSlam PPV. That contest was a No DQ, Loser Leaves WWE match.
Following that match, the real-life Daria Berenato took a leave of absence to focus on a chilling stalking case that led to an attempted kidnapping at her Florida home.
October’s WWE Draft actually saw Deville drafted to Raw, although clearly WWE is now looking to utilise the star on SmackDown for the immediate future. Given how Sonya was on fire - no pun intended - before stepping away from WWE action, many will be excited to see how the talented badass picks things up as 2021 moves forward.
