UPDATE (23 Sept, 15:00 BST): Dave Meltzer's assertion that McMahon's sales represented 43% of her total stock was inaccurate, as clarified by Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston. Stephanie has actually sold just 3% of her stock. Please see this Twitter threat for details.

In total, WWE's Chief Brand Officer sold 57,573 shares of Class A Common Stock at $39.18 a unit. This leaves her with a total of 76,324 shares remaining. WWE stock closed at $39.21 yesterday, down 0.38% on the previous day.

Other major WWE executives, including Triple H and Vince McMahon, have sold varying amounts of WWE stock in recent months. Triple H earned approximately $2.4 million for selling a similar percentage of his shares to his wife back in May.

Though Stephanie is a WWE lifer, she has only served as the promotion's Chief Brand Officer since December 2013. She joined the company's board of directors in February 2015 and it is widely believed that she and Triple H will inherit WWE once Vince eventually decides to stand down.

Stephanie hasn't been used as an onscreen personality with any great regularity over the past few years, restricting herself to the odd cameo here and there.
