The Rattlesnake's podcast is back on WWE Network.

The legendary WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is headed back to WWE Network for a podcast with an old friend of his named Paul Heyman. The live podcast will air on June 1 immediately after Monday Night Raw. It was first announced during the Payback Kickoff Show and also doing the PPV portion of the show. It's a podcast that should be very interesting. It's also a bit of a surprise because of all the rumors about how WWE was mad about Austin's previous podcasts. The first one with Vince McMahon in December was very insightful and definitely got people talking especially when Vince talked about brass rings as well as when Austin specifically asked why Cesaro wasn't pushed more. In February, Austin talked to Triple H and apparently got some heat for bringing up Chyna, who is never mentioned by WWE. Following those two podcasts, WWE decided to bring in Chris Jericho. A lot of people wondered why. Clearly Austin was great at what he did and there was no reason to bring in somebody else. The assumption, which sounded very legit, was that Austin had heat for his line of questioning. When Jericho had John Cena and Stephanie McMahon as guests he really didn't ask many hard questions. It's not like he asked why he held down The Nexus in 2010, for example. Most people assumed that Austin would have asked harder questions. The timing of the show is noteworthy too. WWE is loading up in content in May with Payback, NXT Takeover on Wednesday and Elimination Chamber on May 31. That's because May is a free month for new subscribers, so they want to entice them to stick around. By scheduling this Austin podcast with Heyman on June 1, that also keeps those potential new subscribers very interested. As most Austin podcast listeners know, Heyman has been on Austin's podcast more than once already. They have had some very interesting conversations because their relationship goes back to the early 1990s when Austin was in Heyman's "Dangerous Alliance" stable in WCW in those days. They are awesome together because not only are they really good friends, but neither man is afraid to say anything. There's no word on how often Austin might do these podcasts on WWE Network or who might be next after Heyman, but it's a great sign to see Austin back in the mix working with WWE again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2vifdymkTo
