Chris Jericho's List was a huge part of his career reinvention in 2016, and without it, it's hard to imagine him being as relevant as he is at the moment. The List has been one of WWE's most popular gimmicks since the summer, but has unfortunately inspired a dangerous kind of mimicry this week.
According to a report from Orlando News 13, a student in Poinciana, Florida reportedly brought a "kill list" to school, with the 14-year-old boy's family claiming that her was inspired by Jericho's List. It reportedly includes most members of the school football team, with the kid saying that he "wants to shoot them."
The Sheriff's Office incident report notes that deputies contacted the family after hearing of the list, with the family claiming that he was copying Jericho, who "keeps a list of people he dislikes."
The family claim that the boy had no intention of hurting anyone, but the incident has led to them pulling the child out of school after the report went public. The school did not go into any specifics on what happened, with a spokesperson saying: "these concerns are all based on rumours, and we're not going to proliferate these rumours any further."
