Kip Sabian's year spent with his head in a cardboard box at long last came to a surprising end on last night's edition of AEW Dynamite.

The British star assaulted PAC during the Death Triangle/United Empire trios main event. The AEW All-Atlantic Champion had been distracted by the man he thought was Sabian, but removed the mask to reveal an unknown plant with a bruised face and a taped mouth. Before anybody could really process that, Sabian jumped PAC from behind to completely remove him from the remainder of the match. The Lucha Brothers were promptly defeated in his absence.

Sabian had foreshadowed his return earlier in the day, suggesting that viewers "fasten their seatbelts" ahead of Dynamite. He'd previously revealed himself from underneath the "Underrated. Over It" messaging on an British Wrestling Revolution event in July, in what remains his only match of 2022 to date.

His last in-ring appearance for All Elite Wrestling was in the "Arcade Anarchy" main event of the March 25th 2021 edition of Dynamite. Defeat to the Best Friends alongside Miro expedited the subsequent collapse of their team, and the commencement of this finally-concluded chapter.
