Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch Pleads Not Guilty To DUI Manslaughter
WWE Hall of Famer enters plea following traffic incident that left a 75-year-old man dead.
Former WWE star Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch has pleaded not guilty to one count of DUI manslaughter in a Florida court.
Sytch appeared in court on Tuesday. She is being charged with a third-degree felony following a traffic incident that left 75-year-old Julian L. Lasseter dead on 25 March. Though Lasseter was initially taken to hospital for injuries suffered in the crash, he later passed away.
Sunny, a WWE Hall of Famer, is alleged to have driven her vehicle into the back of Lasseter's, who had stopped at a traffic light behind another stationary vehicle. Per The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Sytch's blood alcohol level registered at .280 at the time of the accident, more than three-and-a-half times greater than Florida's legal limit of .08. In addition, police officers also found an unsealed bottle of vodka in Sytch's vehicle.
On top of the one count of DUI manslaughter, Sytch has been charged with driving with a suspended revoked license causing death/serious injury (one count), DUI with "damage to person" (four counts), and DUI with "damage to property."
The 46-year-old faces up to 26 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Although she plead not guilty, Sytch declined to make a statement.
