With vignettes having aired since November for Veer Mahaan's impending re-arrival on Raw, last night saw the official WWE Twitter account put out a post stating "SEND VEER".

For most wrestling fans, said post immediately seemed like a play on the "SEND HOOK" line that AEW has been utilising for the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil known as Hook. Picking up on WWE's Veer comment, Hook's father Taz was quick to respond and poke fun at all of this - and obviously plugged the latest Hook t-shirt that's for sale on PWTees.

As for Veer, he was previously aligned with Jinder Mahal and Shanky on the Raw brand up until the WWE Draft. That Draft saw Mahal and Shanky moved to SmackDown, while Veer - now with the tweaked name of Veer Mahaan - was assigned to remain on Raw.

While the Draft took place in October, Mahaan has yet to show up on WWE's main red brand programming, despite his arrival being promoted every week as "coming soon". Instead, Veer has been competing on WWE Main Event during this time, where he's picked up singles victories over Jaxson Ryker, John Morrison, Cedric Alexander, and T-BAR.

Over in AEW, this same spell has seen Hook make his in-ring debut, slapping around Fuego Del Sol and Bear Bronson in his first two (obviously victorious) matches and only further adding to the cult following the 22-year-old has amassed across 2021.
