With the Rock now well and truly on the Road to WrestleMania, the Great One's return to WWE programming hasn't been met entirely with universal praise by those within WWE and beyond.

As part of the Brahma Bull's WWE return, he's cut promos about crackheads, horny drunks, and had several comments silenced by censors due to the language used. In addition to that, the Rock has used social media to cut various promos that frequently use even stronger language, which is believed to have rubbed certain people the wrong way. After all, there are strict guidelines for what WWE talent can and can't say, even if that's on social media rather than on actual TV.

While some talent aren't particularly happy that there appears to be one rule for the Rock and one rule for everyone else, there have also been reports of unrest from "standards and practices" - as seemingly now addressed by Dwayne Johnson on Instagram over the weekend.

As per Johnson:

Networks and "standards and practices" have issues with my language, but I'd rather be real than not. I talk from the heart, shoot from the hip and try to always have fun.

Of course, the other side of that coin, is there are likely plenty of other WWE stars who'd also prefer to be "real" and have the freedom afforded to the Rock...

Nowadays a part of the TKO Board of Directors, it sounds like that the People's Champion will continue to follow the same pattern seen in recent weeks as he gears up for WrestleMania XL Night 1, where he'll team with Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a bout with implications for Night 2's Roman vs. Cody contest.
