The Rock and WWE are having serious discussions about doing something before the end of the year, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting. The promotions department of WWE have been informed, and that's why The Rock has been moved from alumni to current on WWE's shop website. This is exciting news, and perhaps a reaction from WWE to John Cena's November time off. Replacing Cena is difficult, but plugging the gap with The Rock is more than going to fit the bill. Presumably his involvement could be at Survivor Series, which is traditionally the biggest WWE show in this fall period. Either that or they use Rock on Raw, as a way to get the worrying levels of low viewership up. What would be likely, is he shoots an angle with Triple H to establish his match at WrestleMania 32. It makes sense that the main event should have a several month build, and perhaps the announcement will coincide with the full tickets going on sale. If WWE are really feeling bold and splashing the cash, perhaps we could even see The Rock wrestling this fall. A Rock match at Survivor Series is sure to generate a boost to WWE Network subscriptions. All will be come clear soon. Get ready to hear that iconic "If you smell..." entrance music!
