The Undertaker returned at WWE Battleground and attacked Brock Lesnar. The Beast was about to pin Seth Rollins for the championship, when the lights went out and The Undertaker's bell sounded. The lights then came on and Taker was in the ring. Lesnar was stunned. He went to attack the veteran, only to be countered and low blowed. The crowd then cheered The Undertaker wildly, as he delivered a chokeslam and tombstone pilerdriver. It was odd booking. Lesnar has been so hot as a babyface this year, so they book him against the one guy who he's not going to be cheered against? As for Taker, that low blow was a heel move. If the plan was to bring him back as a bad guy, that's also illogical, as the crowd are never going to boo him. The Battleground crowd reacted with absolute adoration for him. It is strong headliner for SummerSlam, with two major names facing off. But this is a match that long term fans have seen done to death. In their last effort, at WrestleMania 30, it really wasn't that good. You can understand WWE wanting to tell the story of Taker going after avenging the streak loss, but you can't help but think that both men could have been matched with better opponents at SummerSlam. Raw is expected to do a monster rating off of all of this tomorrow. Recent low TV ratings are a big factor in the decision to bring The Undertaker back this summer.
