This WWE Star Is Already Training...For WrestleMania 40!
Working a match at WrestleMania 40 is a "gigantic" goal for this WWE man.
Drew Gulak is skipping WrestleMania 39 and putting full focus on the following year's 'Mania 40.
The often-overlooked wrestler, who recently jumped from Raw/SmackDown to NXT, told WWE's The Bump that working a match on the 'Mania 40 card is a "gigantic" goal of his. In fact, Pennsylvania native Drew is so intent on wrestling at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field in April 2024 that he almost believes it's fate.
Gulak told the show that WrestleMania 15, which took place at Philly's Wells Fargo Center (then the First Union Center) in 1999, "holds a very special place in [his] heart". Drew then admitted he doesn't "usually have goals with [his] wrestling career", but something about this feels different.
He wants a spot on that weekender bad, and he'll do anything to get one.
Rebuilding his stock on NXT might be Gulak's first step towards ultimate WWE redemption. He was rarely used on the two top shows, and last wrestled a SmackDown match on the 2 September episode - that 80-second loss to Karrion Kross was actually taped the prior week.
Time to get "#DrewGulakForWrestleManiaXL" trending, people.
