Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair has been made official for WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view on 26 September.

On-air authority figures Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville confirmed that Bex and Belair will sign the contract for their title rematch on next week's episode of SmackDown. That, coincidentally, is being branded as "Super SmackDown", and will include a bumper Edge vs. Seth Rollins repeat and the TV return of one Brock Lesnar.

It'll be a quiet night then...

Seriously though, this is probably the right call. Belair has been written to look defiant after dropping the SmackDown Women's Title to Lynch at SummerSlam, and the new champ is sort of/almost/kinda exhibiting some heel qualities during their verbal spats.

Expect shenanigans inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden next week, people.

Pro wrestling contract signings rarely (if ever) go down without some sort of ambush or scuffle. This could be WWE's chance to cement Becky as the villain of the piece, or make Bianca look like a bad bitch who refuses to sit back and watch 'The Man' steal her SmackDown spotlight.

It's worth noting that this is the first official match for Extreme Rules.
