Hot off the heels of the Roseanne Barr scandal which mercifully resulted in the axing of her terrible TV return, The Huffington Post conducted an investigation into one of Twitter's most prominent anti-Muslim trolls, an account followed by the disgraced 'comedian' and endorsed by both President Trump and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

@AmyMek was originally presumed to be a propaganda hate-bot, so cartoonishly vitriolic is the feed in regularly discharging right-wing ejaculate. As it happens, the handle has been exposed as an actual, sentient human being, hard as it is to believe, known as Amy Jane Mekelburg.

It turns out Mekelburg - who has a habit of tweeting anti-Muslim rhetoric upwards of two-dozen times a day to her 200,000 followers - is a New York native, married to WWE brass Salvatore Siino. His position? Vice President of Content Distribution - a role which involves negotiating TV deals with the predominantly Muslim population of the UAE.

His wife being a rampant Islamophobe is not a good look. Unsurprisingly, shortly after the reveal of the spousal skeleton in his closet, Siino was dismissed from the company.

Mekelburg took to Twitter - naturally - in response to her husband's sacking, with a typically understated comment:

"[HP's] O'Brien went so far as to contact my husband's employer and had him fired because of MY OPINIONS and my fight for Jews to exist."

Yup. That'll help.
