WWE's Royal Rumble plans may have taken another major blow following news that Jason Jordan was forced to miss shows this weekend through injury (via PWInsider).

Details of the 29-year-old's condition have not been made public, but anything serious will likely mean alterations to the card on January 28. Jordan, one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions, is currently scheduled to compete in doubles action against The Bar.

His co-holder, Seth Rollins, has already lost one partner this past month in the shape of fellow Shield member Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe was hit by a triceps injury in December, which is expected to keep him out beyond WrestleMania.

The flagship show is also contending with the unexpected loss of Samoa Joe, who hurt his foot during a match with Rhyno last week. Like Ambrose, it is thought that his chances of competing in New Orleans could be under serious threat.

A sudden slew of injuries like this, coupled with speculation that Paige could be forced into retirement at the age of just 25, is bound to invite yet more uncomfortable questions about WWE's supposedly punishing touring schedule.

In front of the cameras, it could also have ramifications for the company's April showpiece, mirroring the events of two years ago, when Seth Rollins, John Cena, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were all made to watch WrestleMania 32 from the treatment table.
