Top WWE Star Returns To The Ring After Injury
After an injury lay-off, this multi-time champion returned to the ring over the weekend.
Having not wrestled since WWE's post-WrestleMania European Tour, Drew McIntyre made his return to the ring this past weekend.
The Scottish Warrior actually competed three times over the weekend, losing to Jey Uso in a dark match after SmackDown on Friday, then coming up short in triple-threat matches with Uso and World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at New York house shows on Saturday and Sunday - Priest emerging victorious in both of those bouts.
McIntyre suffered a fractured elbow at WrestleMania 40, although he did work the Raw after 'Mania, being unsuccessful in a four-way match to earn a shot at Priest's World Heavyweight Title. Big Drew would work four live events later that month as part of the company's European Tour - losing to Jey Uso on all four occasions - but has spent the best part of the past six weeks as inactive in a physical sense. Of course, the three-time World Champion has remained a part of WWE programming during that time, continuing to stir the pot in his rivalry with CM Punk while also earning himself a shot at Damian Priest and the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland later this month.
