In a state of affairs that seems to rear its head all too often, the professional wrestling world came together in grief once again today to pay respect to the loss of yet another peer. The only difference today is that that peer just so happens to be one of the most iconic performers in modern professional wrestling, a wrestler who changed the way women were presented in the sport.

That peer was none other than Joanie Laurer, better known as Chyna.

Chyna was known in and out of the ring not just for her ability, but also her well-documented relationship with Triple H. Hunter Hearst Helmsley took to Twitter to pay his respects, setting aside any and all animosity for the time being.

Hunter's wife and Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie also paid her respects, in a move that seems to have been greeted by many with nothing but cynicism. A whole host of other wrestlers and wrestling personalities, those from the past, present and the future, paid their respects via social media, including Mick Foley, Jim Ross, Trish Stratus and more.
