Triple H has been cleared to start training again after successfully completing the rehabilitation portion of his recovery, as revealed on a recent NXT Takeover conference call.

The former world champion tore his pectoral muscle during his match at Crown Jewel, which saw HHH and a returning Shawn Michaels overcome the Brothers of Destruction in Saudi Arabia.

The Game subsequently underwent surgery on the injury and this week provided an update on his status, saying:-

"I just got cleared to actually start training. Anyone that’s had a serious injury knows the difference between rehabbing a couple of hours a day and actually training. The difference is trying to get better versus actually bettering yourself."

He revealed that he got the clearance a week ago and was feeling extremely sore from already stepping up his training.

There had been a great deal of speculation that a match with Batista could be on the cards for Triple H at WrestleMania this year, however that match appeared to be off the cards when he suffered the injury at Crown Jewel in early November.

The news that HHH is now cleared to compete and is back intensely training, with more than two months to go until the Show of Shows, will reignite talk of a showdown between the former Evolution stablemates following their confrontation on SmackDown 1000 last year.
