Big Show is one of the oldest active wrestlers in WWE, but he's still a big part of storylines. After putting over Roman Reigns in a very good match at Extreme Rules last month, Show has been off TV. The plan was to keep him off for the three weeks between Extreme Rules and Payback. Then they would bring him back after that. However, there was no sign of Show on Raw or Smackdown this week. The word on Show is that there's no injury. It's just a matter of creative having nothing for him on Raw. Show is still due to return any week now and if it doesn't happen at the Elimination Chamber PPV on May 31 then his return may be delayed until June according to the Wrestling Observer. It's actually smart to take him off TV once in a while just because he really doesn't need to be in a featured role anymore and it's good to give wrestlers a break once in a while. It gives them time to heal up from injuries while also giving them a chance to spend more time with their families. The positive about Big Show being away is that it gives more screen time to others. WWE still sees Show as an asset because he's a veteran that they can use in a heel or face role since we know how much WWE loves to turn him. He's been solid as a member of The Authority that has wrestled Reigns far too often in the last six months, but at least they accomplished the goal of having Reigns win the feud in a decisive way. What's interesting about Reigns is that there's nothing planned for him at Elimination Chamber right now. The same can be said about Randy Orton. That doesn't mean that WWE will put Big Show against one of them in singles, but a tag match with Kane could be possible as a way to build up Kane's face turn. It wouldn't be an exciting match, though. They have to do something with those guys, right? If you missed Big Show, he'll be back soon. If you didn't miss Big Show that's too bad because he'll be back soon.
