Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was conspicuous by his absence on last night's Raw, despite WWE advertising him ahead of time.

The reason behind his non-appearance remains to be seen, but according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Brock is booked for Detroit in two weeks' time.

Lesnar was supposed to be involved in a scripted confrontation with Roman Reigns, but this had to be rewritten at the last minute. Bryan Alvarez (Meltzer's broadcast partner) noted that UFC President Dana White posted a picture with his former Heavyweight Champion over the weekend, which generated buzz online, but couldn't explain why he wasn't at the show.

Reigns, who'll face 'The Beast' for his title at WrestleMania 34, addressed the absence in a mid-show promo. Calling Lesnar an "entitled piece of crap who hides behind his contract," he claimed Raw's top dog "only shows up when the money and town are right," then closed by bringing his respect for the audience into question.

Meltzer added that three years ago, Lesnar no-showed a taping and went to a UFC show, leading to Vince summoning him in a "do or die" scenario. There's no suggestion that he did the same last night, but let's wait and see if he's on the 12 March show as advertised.
