As first reported by Fightful Select, Drew Gulak is now a free agent. Additionally, he's also now been announced to compete at Beyond Wrestling's Americanrana show on 4 July.

There was speculation earlier in the year that Gulak had been fired by WWE, with that speculation itself coming in the aftermath of claims from Ronda Rousey that the Pennsylvania native had inappropriately touched Rousey's drawstring on her pants. Gulak was quick to address these claims, admitting that he had indeed touched Ronda's drawstring but that he'd done so accidentally when going for a handshake.

Those rumblings of Drew Gulak being fired were shot down by Paul Levesque in the post-Backlash media scrum, where the WWE Chief Creative Officer stated that Gulak was still with the company at that time, but that his existing contract would not be renewed. Now, that contract has expired and Gulak finds himself a free agent.

In recent weeks, there have been several reports that Gulak was viewed as a bully by those within NXT, to the point he was verbally chastised by Shawn Michaels at one particular point. Those reports noted how the veteran would take it upon himself to 'test' other talents and would purposely target certain damaged body parts when a wrestler was making their recovery from injury.

Gulak had been with WWE as far back as 2016, first competing as part of the Cruiserweight Classic before then becoming a part of the company's relaunched cruiserweight division. After spells on the main roster, the Technical Terminator returned to NXT at the end of 2022, soon forming what would become known as the No Quarter Catch Crew. Gulak was written off NXT TV in April, with it implied that he was 'whacked' by the D'Angelo Family.
