While it very much looks like a singles match isn't on the cards for Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania 39, a new report suggests that the Rowdy One and Shayna Baszler will embark on a reign as Women's Tag Team Champions following this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

This report comes from WrestlingNews.co, who note how the current impression in WWE is that Rousey and Baszler will be getting a Women's Tag Team Title run "through the spring and summer". As a WWE source told the outfit, Ronda is pushing for a run with the Tag Team Championships, and what Rousey wants she usually gets.

At present, the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions are Becky Lynch and Lita, with that tandem defeating Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the gold on this week's Raw.

Given how there's been a renewed focus on Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler as a tag team unit in recent weeks and months, many have speculated that the two former UFC stars will wind up challenging for the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Likewise, some have suggested that this could end up being a triple threat affair which also features SKY and Kai - in turn freeing up Bayley to have a singles match against Trish Stratus.

Initially, many had hoped that this year's 'Mania may finally give fans the Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch one-on-one match that they were hoping to see back at WrestleMania 35. While that appears to be off the table, having Rousey and Baszler involved in the Tag Team Title picture at the Granddaddy of Them All would at least deliver some interaction between the Baddest Woman on the Planet and the Man.
