Samoa Joe told Sky Sports that he hopes to make a WWE return within the next month after taking time off for surgery.

The Raw star needed two operations, one on his knee and one to sort out a broken nose that had been affecting his breathing. According to Joe, he was only breathing at 60% of normal capacity, which means he wrestled Brock Lesnar at Great Balls Of Fire whilst struggling to breathe.

As for his knee, Joe claimed to have been operating at 80% health since signing with WWE. Not wishing to miss any opportunities by taking time off, the NXT star wrestled through the pain and used ice and elevation when off the road to soothe things.

Joe's recovery is going well and he's expected to make a comeback to Raw at the start of November. Previously, it had been reported that the Samoan would return at Survivor Series, but it looks like he will be in the mix again much sooner than that.

Right now, Joe is waiting on WWE's doctors to clear him so he can wrestle on the promotion's upcoming UK tour in early-November.
