Update On Stephanie McMahon's Current WWE Status
Does Stephanie McMahon's WrestleMania appearance mean she's back with WWE?
With Stephanie McMahon having formally opened Night 2 of WrestleMania XL last weekend, many have questioned whether that means the Billion Dollar Princess is back with WWE in some capacity.
As per PWInsider, Stephanie is not back with the company in any form or fashion.
The reason why Stephanie opened 'Mania Night 2 was to give the audience an unexpected surprise, and as a way for McMahon to give her public backing to the new era of WWE that's being led by her husband, Paul Levesque.
This was not intended in any way to mark the start of Stephanie McMabon's return to WWE storylines or for her to resume any role behind the scenes. That said, the door remains open should Stephanie decide she wants to return in the future, but her appearance on Sunday was simply what it was.
The former Chairwoman and Co-CEO of WWE, Stephanie resigned from the company in January 2023 as her father forced his way back into power. Prior to that, Vince McMahon had been forced to resign in disgrace after hush money payments were discovered. Since then, Vince McMahon has had to resign in disgrace for a second time amid allegations of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse from ex-WWE employee Janel Grant.
