The old WWE Network features currently missing from Peacock's version of the service may never be implemented.

18 March saw the Network begin its transition to NBCUniversal's streaming platform, which will be completed on 5 April, when the old Network shuts down in the United States. It was reported prior to the changeover that Peacock's Network shell would lack features like the ability to pause live broadcasts, match markers, and a more comprehensive search function upon launch, which has proven to be the case.

Dave Meltzer has an update on the missing features in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He sourced the following quote acknowledging that they may never be added back to the Network:-

“Certain capabilities like match makers, visual scrubbing of video timelines, and the ability to rewind/fast-forward or start live programming from the beginning are not expected to be available at launch, or possibly ever. Search is also handled by the standard Peacock search functions, so may not perform as well as WWE Network.”

Meltzer points out that because Network content is being implemented into Peacock itself, rather than as a separate platform, it is delivered through Peacock's functionality.

Fastlane 2021 will be the first WWE pay-per-view to stream live through Peacock this weekend. Existing Network subscribers can still watch it via the old service, though they will have to create Peacock accounts by 5 April in order to catch WrestleMania 37.
