VIDEO: Fan Headbutts Wrestler Joe Back At Indie Event
A fan lunged over the barricade to headbutt indie wrestler Joe Black in a clip that went viral.
Independent wrestler Joe Black was the subject of an attack while working a show this weekend, as an overzealous fan lunged over the barricade to headbutt Black after a victory.
The incident, which took place during an IWE Pro Wrestling event in Georgia, saw a scrap break out between Black and the attendee. Security team members attempted to diffuse the situation by getting between the duo, though Joe was able to break through momentarily, landing a few strikes on the aggressor.
Attendee @CanBeOnly1Leage posted a clip of the situation to YouTube. BodySlam.net founder Cassidy Haynes then shared it on Twitter, sending the incident viral:-

Per Haynes, the locker room emptied as the situation heated up, with even the fan's daughter upset with him:-

The situation kicked off after Black had flipped a hat from the fan's head following his win. The attendee used this as a provocation for his actions, though there is no acceptable justification for lashing out at a performer during a wrestling show. It goes without saying that the fan was out of line fo escalating the situation with such aggression.
IWE has since issued the following short statement on the matter, claiming that an investigation will be launched-
An unfortunate event happened at the show tonight which will be addressed by IWE personnel. We want to thank everyone for coming out tonight and apologize for any inconveniences that may have occurred.
