Vince McMahon "Stepping Away" From WWE To Focus On XFL?
The WWE Chairman's new football league is finally starting to take shape.
Vince McMahon's XFL revival kicks off in February 2020, and while the project was always going to occupy a huge chunk of the WWE Chairman's time, there's now talk that he might relinquish his grip on WWE sooner than initially thought.
This is according to Brad Shepard of the Oh, You Didn't Know Wrestling Show. He claims that sources have told him that Vince has informed his "XFL circle" that he plans on "stepping away from WWE for a very short period of time depending on how the Fox and NXT moves go." Then, "if all three shows are stable" by the XFL's launch, "he will indeed focus on the league."
Take this as you will.
On one hand, Shepard did break the original XFL return story. On the other, he previously reported Sasha Banks' WWE return eight times before it happened, then took a huge victory lap when she eventually showed up on Raw. Applying a touch of cynicism would be advised.

The new teams are the St. Louis Battlehawks, Tampa Bay Vipers, New York Guardians, Seattle Dragons, Houston Roughnecks, Los Angeles Wildcards, DC Defenders, and Dallas Renegades.
