Given the huge amount of WWE releases across these past 18 months or so, one topic that has come up several times during this period is whether or not WWE talent could have a no-cut clause inserted into their deals.

In an update on this matter, Fightful Select reports that no-cut clauses are something which certain company higher-ups had been open to. The only problem is, one person who is completely against the idea is Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

McMahon has been adamantly against including any such clause, with this said to be a non-negotiable element of any new WWE deals for talent at this point.

Some had recently speculated how the new contract recently signed by Kevin Owens may include a non-cut commitment, but that is not the case. As such, KO and the rest of the WWE roster find themselves in the same situation as all of the names WWE tied down to major deals back in 2019.

Of course, sadly so many of these who re-upped for multi-year big money deals in 2019 have since been let go by WWE due to "budget cuts" - all while the organisation champions record revenue streams.

The point is, regardless of how long a contract you've signed and how much money that deal is for, WWE is still able to cut you at the drop of a dime.
