Former NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER's stance on moving to the United States for WWE appears to be softening.

This is according to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, who wrote in a recent Q&A column that while nothing has been decided upon yet, certain changes in WALTER's personal life have made him more open to the idea of moving away from Europe. WWE now believe that his potential relocation is a lot likelier than it was in the past.

WALTER straight-up told talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy that he didn't want to move to the United States in September 2019:-

"I would go on the main roster at some point but I wouldn’t move to America. Moving to America is not for me. American lifestyle is not for me. No, I couldn’t imagine that. When it comes to that, I stay where I am."

Two years later, it appears his stance has shifted.

WALTER has kept a sporadic wrestling schedule for WWE throughout the pandemic era, working only seven televised brands across NXT and NXT UK. He did, however, wrestle on the promotion's recent United Kingdom house show tour, competing primarily against SmackDown's Cesaro.
