What Eddie Guerrero Told WWE About Working With Chyna
Mama-see-ya!
It might not rack up posthumous brownie points from some to learn that Eddie Guerrero was initially worried about working with Chyna in 2000.
On the latest episode of 'Something To Wrestle With', Bruce Prichard and Conrad Thompson revisited one of their earlier shows to take a deep dive look at The Radicalz and their memorable jump from WCW to WWF at the turn of the millennium. Guerrero's reservations came up during the first pod.
According to Bruce, Eddie was all-too-aware that some within the wrestling business might be concerned that he'd be playing second fiddle to Chyna. Backstage, Guerrero told Prichard and other WWE officials that he'd make the best of it, and could turn anything management handed him into gold because 'Eddie Guerrero can do it all'.
Yes, yes he could.
Guerrero may not have been 100% sold on the thought of being aligned with Chyna at first (he was following Chris Jericho in that respect), but he put his all into the act and it ended up being one of the WWF's most popular angles during the first half of 2000.
Instead of getting upset about his spot, Eddie focused more on how he could make it fun.
