The Undertaker told Triple H that he wouldn't agree to appear at WrestleMania 40 if his cameo showing had any chance of hurting Cody Rhodes' two-year story with Roman Reigns.

The legend told Busted Open Radio that he needed the green light from everyone who had been "in the building" during the build towards that 'Mania headliner. This was very important to 'The Deadman' - if Cody, Roman, Hunter or literally anybody else working on the feud thought he might overshadow someone or steal the spotlight, then 'Taker would've happily bowed out.

He didn't actually find out what was happening with the spot until Sunday afternoon. The Undertaker dodged some calls from Paul Heyman before going onstage for his one-man show elsewhere in Philadelphia, but eventually caught up with everybody in a hotel suite the day of to thrash things out.

Later that night, 'Taker popped up behind The Rock. For the record, he didn't discuss with Busted Open whether Steve Austin had been WWE's first choice or not.

It is, however, nice to know that the icon was mindful of anybody overshadowing Cody and Roman.
