"I ain't gonna' push no more".

Former WWE man Heath Slater told Lilian Garcia's 'Chasing Glory' that he was "burned out" on company life long before he was released.

Slater, who had been part of the WWE system since 2006, also said he heard "no" too many times throughout his tenure and it just became exhausting after a while. Worn out and jaded by a corporate structure that didn't listen, Heath decided he wasn't "gonna' push no more".

He was slowly-but-surely ground down by the creative process.

Slater told Garcia that it was endlessly frustrating to have good ideas outright ignored. Worse, some of his angles and ideas were handed to other wrestlers as though WWE's writing team had come up with them on the spot. It all became too much for Heath to handle, so he stopped caring as much.

The former Nexus, 3MB and Social Outcasts man did seem to regret not being more outspoken during his run, but he's not sure it would've made any difference anyway. WWE weren't receptive to his vision, and he grew to dread being knocked back whenever he took time to come up with something new.
