For the past several weeks, the Jericho Appreciation Society has been enjoying a numbers advantage over their rivals, Eddie Kingston and Santana & Ortiz.

That changed Wednesday night when two popular groups teamed up to take the JAS down during AEW Dynamite. Jericho and his goons were holding a victory speech when the Wizard recounted throwing a fireball at Kingston. Jericho said that whenever a pro wrestler runs up against a sports entertainer, the result is the same.

This triggered a pro wrestler to respond: Jon Moxley, a former tag partner and friend of Kingston. Seconds later, the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club joined him to better the odds. But as Jericho noted, the numbers were still in his group's favor.

However, Kingston, Santana & Ortiz appeared from under the ring, putting the JAS at a disadvantage for the first time. The Society was pummeled in the ensuing brawl, with even William Regal getting in on the action, laying Jericho out with a left hand.

For weeks, fans had wondered who would join Kingston's crew to even the odds against Jericho's group, and AEW simply played on the partnership between Eddie and Moxley, not to mention the JAS' entire rant against "pro wrestlers" and praise of sports entertainers, which is antithetical to the Blackpool Combat Club's entire existence.

The end result of this melee was that Jericho and Regal will have a face-to-face confrontation on next week's Dynamite, which could make for an epic promo battle.
