Who Decided WWE's Braun Strowman Had To Shave His Head?
"It's time to get rid of this crappy hair!"
Braun Strowman revealed during WWE Network's latest Chronicle episode that it was actually his own idea to go bald.
The doc showed Braun in a barber's chair getting his hair shaved off. That's when the former Universal Champion admitted that he called up Vince McMahon and said, "It's time to get rid of this crappy hair". McMahon wasn't so sure, and asked his wrestler why he fancied making the change so suddenly.
Strowman said it looked "bad" and reasoned that his onscreen character was about to turn heel and "get a little nasty". After a brief pause, Vince said he needed "24 hours" to work things out with "legalities, licensing and everything".
When Braun text him the next day, the boss sent a thumbs up emoji and said he was good to go.
Strowman was pleased, because he thought a haircut was the "refresher" his character needed. He'd also been considering getting rid of his receding hairline for a while, but knew he'd need WWE's permission before booking an appointment with his barber.
That's not uncommon. WWE stars must ask before changing their appearance due to licensing for action figures, video games and things like that.
