Who Should Replace Mustafa Ali As WWE’s SmackDown Hacker?

The gimmick can be salvaged with the right replacement...

It was previously reported that Mustafa Ali was in line to play the mysterious hacker character who had been popping up on SmackDown. That plan changed when WWE decided to move Ali over to Raw - he's no longer in the running to play the gimmick long term.

Does that mean it'll be cancelled outright and left on the same scrap heap as the 'Anonymous Raw GM' though? Maybe not.

The Wrestling Observer teased that someone else could bag the gig and assume the role meant for Ali before his brand switch. That'd avoid the problem of WWE moving on without giving the storyline some finality first, because it's always frustrating when angles are abolished without a satisfying conclusion, or even any attempt at one at all.

Someone could benefit from being repackaged as the hacker. Shorty G, perhaps? His 'vertically challenged underdog' role isn't exactly thriving. Or, Xavier Woods could take the gimmick as a secret alter ego to his New Day work when he returns from injury.

Other choices could include a member of The Forgotten Sons (if WWE want to move Wesley Blake or Steve Cutler on from Jaxson Ryker) or Drew Gulak.

Who, if anyone, would you like to see become the hacker on Friday nights? Or, do you think WWE should forget about someone's secret surveillance?
