Keith Lee doesn't regret much about his WWE run, but he does regret THIS.
Keith Lee wishes he'd told WWE "hell to the no" when they pulled him into a room and clued him in about the 'Bearcat' idea.
The AEW star told Bleacher Report that he wasn't keen on the nickname in the first place, but didn't want to rock the boat by appearing difficult either. Also, WWE had come up with the 'Bearcat' moniker when Lee was at home convalescing following COVID - wrestling was the last thing on his mind at that point.
By the time he returned to work, Keith didn't want to make waves behind the scenes by knocking anything back. Plus, he wanted to do the best job he could do and knew how into 'Bearcat' WWE officials were. That's why he agreed to give it a shot, but he's not certain things would play out the same way in 2022.
In fact, Lee reckons he'd tell them where to shove it nowadays.
Laughing the experience off, Keith added: "Sometimes loyalty just doesn’t really do that much for you". He kinda regrets not speaking up about the 'Bearcat' idea and shooting it down when he had the chance.
