Why WWE Cancelled Plans For Mansoor On This Week's Raw
Mansoor was nowhere to be found on WWE Raw, despite last week's debut vs. Sheamus.
Mansoor was originally booked to play a role on this week's episode of WWE Raw before the show's creative changed, and the Saudi Arabian's appearance was canned, reports PWInsider's Mike Johnson.
There's no word on what Mansoor would have done on the show, having debuted on last week's episode. Speculatively, one might assume it would have something to do with Sheamus and Humberto Carrillo, given that Mansoor featured alongside both when debuting the previous week.
Sheamus and Carrillo's United States Title match was brought to an abrupt end when a seemingly injured Humberto called for assistance on the outside. Carrillo is fine, fortunately, but this wasn't the originally planned finish.
Mansoor debuted on Raw in the most WWE way imaginable, with the company throwing away his 49-match winning streak via disqualification as he wrestled Sheamus one-on-one. This came following a backstage confrontation between the two, in which Sheamus mocked Mansoor, inviting him to take up the United States Title open challenge.
The Saudi Arabian's streak stretched back to August 2019, when he failed to win an NXT house show battle royal, and was primarily built on Main Event and 205 Live.
