Will AEW's Tony Khan Purchase Impact Wrestling?

Tony Schiavone comments on rumours of a takeover following AEW's latest visit to Impact Wrestling.

AEW Dynamite commentator Tony Schiavone offered his thoughts on company president Tony Khan potentially purchasing Impact Wrestling after weeks of on and off-screen interactions between the two sides.

Speaking on his weekly YouTube Dynamite post-show, Schiavone took the question from one of the followers on the stream, answering with a resounding "No".

As the broadcast continued, he later joked “He’ll possibly use those S&H Green Stamps that were so popular in the 60s…Actually, I think he’s going to invest in a 1957 Chevrolet Coupe, which will bring him more money.

Schiavone has enjoyed taking potshots at Impact since the crossover work between the two companies began. A feature alongside Khan himself on "paid advertisements" during Impact broadcasts, the bits have been a more lighthearted aspect of the looming invasion brought forth by Kenny Omega's association with Don Callis and reunion with Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers.

Omega main evented Impact's last pay-per-view Hard To Kill, while The Good Brothers will join the 'Best Bout Machine' for Dynamite's Beach Break special against Jon Moxley, Pac and Rey Fenix. inter-promotional matches are cropping up on both shows, though this note from announcer Tony suggests his billionaire namesake is content enough without owning both sides.
